  • Established GPIC-Bendigo as a technical and social forum for geoscientists in central Victoria, and coordinated meetings from 1994 to 2009.
  • Sat on organising committees, running the successful VICMIN series of state technical conferences in 1996, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2005 and 2007 and supporting bus tours of geological sites in Victoria.
  • Elected member of the AIG Council in 1999, serving as Treasurer (2000-2002) and Vice-President (2002-2005), stepping down to concentrate on State issues in 2006.
